Week 3: Content Planning

  • Monthly Focus: Decide on the key focus areas for this month. What specific packages, themes, or aspects of your business do you want to highlight? Having a clear focus will keep your content cohesive and on-brand.

  • Newsletters: Consider crafting a monthly newsletter to keep your audience informed about your focus areas and upcoming content. A newsletter is a fantastic way to stay consistent, prep your audience for what’s to come, and land directly in their inbox.

  • Create: Schedule time for content creation. Think about the types of content you want to produce and remember, you can share the same message in different formats! Capture content with future use in mind.

  • Schedule: Plan out your content schedule. Use your calendar to ensure you’re sharing a variety of content throughout the month. Don't forget to engage with your audience by sharing content on stories and across other platforms and communities.

Week 4: Setting Goals and Evaluating Your Content

Prompt: This week, set clear goals for your content strategy and evaluate your current content pillars.

  • Setting Goals:

  • Traffic Direction: Decide where you want to direct traffic—be it a blog, website, or specific landing pages.

  • Meetings & Accountability: Book monthly meetings with yourself or your team to plan your content and stay on track. Alternatively, find an accountability buddy or group to help keep you focused and motivated!

  • Evaluating Your Content:

  • Review: Analyze your last 10-15 posts. Which types of content are driving the most engagement?

  • Value: Are your posts informative, engaging, and visually appealing? Do they offer value to your target audience? Is the writing clear and easy to understand?

  • Pillars: Do you have defined content pillars? Are they being used effectively? What content do you enjoy creating? What challenges do you face, and why?

  • Content Gaps: Identify any gaps in your content and areas for improvement.

By starting with well-defined content pillars, refining them for maximum impact, planning effectively, and setting clear goals, you’re setting yourself up for social media success. Let’s make August the month we master our content strategy and truly #SmashYourSocials!
